DISASTER MANAGMENT AWARNESS PROGRAM

On the above mentioned date disaster management awareness program was organised at the college premises in association with team NDRF and Mamlatdar office Paddhari by the instructions of hon. Collector-Rajkot district. The program was formally inaugurated by “Dip pragatya” followed by opening speech by Dr. Geeta Bhut mam. Later that, dignitaries from the team NDFR shared their experiences with students regarding the rescue activities they have done, during their job tenure. They shared how they saved people from natural disaster with and without help of such equipments. Later that, team NDRF demonstrated primary treatment methods such as bandaging, pressing, wound cleaning, bone supports etc. In all these demonstrations our students participated as volunteers and choose to be subjects of demonstration. They also taught how to rescue from flood, how to rescue a sinking person, and most important how to do a perfect CPR treatment. They demonstrated the equipments they use during rescue, and also showed how to make equipments from waste items at home. All in all they have shared and taught very essential intimations regarding disaster management, rescuing, primary treatment and precautionary measures. Students, faculties and all other participants have learned a lot which is really meaningful in terms of life. At the end of the program Dr. Neela Thaker mam, Hon.
