Online Certificate course "Vibrant Saurashtra"(A.D.1857 TO A.D.1956) was organised by the Department of History, Government Arts and Commerce College Paddhari. In this course, college teachers of history from all over Gujarat gave their lectures on 15 subjects. Question-Answer session was held after each lecture. Online Attendance, Assignment, Tests were arranged for all the participants who participated in the “Vibrant Saurashtra” Online Certificate Course to get the Certificate. The entire course was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Nilaben Thaker. Dr. Dharmesh Parmar acted as the coordinator of this course. The details of the entire course are as follows. ❖ Objectives of the course. 1. To understand the geographical, social, economic and religious conditions of Saurashtra. 2. To get acquainted with the rulers of Saurashtra and their public works. 3. To get familiarize with Mahatma Gandhi's life and his works in Saurashtra region. 4. To comprehend the education system and arts of Saurashtra. 5. To get acquainted with the achievements of Saurashtra women in various fields 6. To comprehend the political administrative systems of Saurashtra. 7. To get introduced to the communication and transport system of Saurashtra before the independence of India. 8. To get familiarize with the contribution of Satyagrahis of Saurashtra in the Indian Independence Movement ❖ The importance of the course 1. Participants will be able to compare the current geographical, social, economic and religious conditions of Saurashtra. 2. Assignments submitted during the course should be submitted online in PDF format. 3. At the end of the course online MCQ test will have to be given. 4.
